Based on lots of RL posts I'd say oh yeah. You might find better but not by much. And most of the better deals as I recall were inventory. 7% is good for an order. Unless things have changed a lot recently. You can search around RL or see if you get lucky with info from a recent buyer.
How did he "tell you"? Were you negotiating low and he said "best I can do is" or? I live in Redmond near Microsoft, used to seeing new 911s all the time, but not many of these even after a couple years.

Thats a good deal. I had a hell of a time just finding a dealer with a build able 2S coupe allocation. If your spec is option heavy it's easier to get that little bit more but if you're sub $110k you got a screaming deal in today's market.

Count your blessings and sign the order, after reading it carefully....quickly!

That's very fair. I'd like to know how you got to 7% too. I did a little better than that, but worked it really hard with about 4 dealerships.

7% on an order... You better sign quick before the dealer comes to his senses!
I worked with 4 different dealers on the East Coast with varying offers:
Dealer A- 1-2% off (at most) on an in-stock car, and 1% off an order. When I spoke to the new car sales manager, he actually told me he doesn't care if I buy the car or not. He said he wouldn't discount the car very much... because he doesn't have to. I said, "Nice talking to you, but I will definitely not buy a car from you." Then I left.
Dealer B- 8% off an in-stock car, 4% off an order. No bad, just couldn't find an in-stock car that I loved.
Dealer C- 5% off in-stock, 2-3 % off an order. They acted like that was the deal of the century. It wasn't.
Dealer D- 7% off in-stock, 6% off an order. Obviously went with this dealer. Although, at first all they offered was 2-3% off either an order or in-stock. However, as soon as they knew I was serious, They offered 5% off an order. I said give me 6% and we have a deal. So we agreed on 6% off an order and I was really happy.
I think the profit is 11-12% of MSRP. However, since they don't have the volume sales of say, Toyota or Honda, I get it that they need to make more per vehicle.
It's just a matter of finding a dealer that is willing to work with you. And, be willing to walk away if they are not quite where you want them.
Bottom line, 7% is a great deal off for an order.
Good luck!!!

I think this is a lot of it. I may have done a little better by buying from a higher volume dealer. I bought from probably the lowest volume dealer in the area, and got a little more than 6%. But, buying from a lower volume dealer can have benefits too.
