Wow... from the first day I walked into our local P dealership as a browser (3 years ago) until the day I eventually bought (looked at 997.2, then a GTS and then a 991), they never offered me ANYTHING below sticker price. Even on cars that were on the floor.

They flat out insisted that Porsche (South Africa) do not do discounts.

Take the 7% !!!

I think you are correct on that one. I was told that dealerships would not be getting any for their lots. Only definite orders would go to dealerships. Now, if one is pre-sold and the buyer backs out then one might end up on the lot. Only 600 for the US which is roughly 12/state. Obviously California will get more than Alaska but still not a lot. Getting back to the OP......7% is amazing for a special order.

I contacted Leith Porsche in North Carolina. They do NOT have a 911/50 in stock....just 1 on order. Again, to my knowledge there is only one for immediate delivery.....hopefully a fast prep will mean Monday.

Hi all,

Can the people who got 6%+ off sticker post which dealership they purchased their car from? I am in the market for a new 2013/2014 2S and I would love to get the best deal I can.

I am located in Maryland but I have no problem buying out-of-state. Not to get political, but I would actually prefer to buy from a Red state. I read a referral for Porsche of King's Automall in Cincinnati (I went to school in Cincinnati). Any others?

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Andy

There are dozens of dealerships within a few hundred miles of you. Pick up the phone are start calling them. Send emails with either your build specs or option/color requirements with an assurance of a significant deposit given immediately.

If you're a good negotiator, you'll get that percentage off MSRP. If not, you won't. It's that easy. It's more a function of your skill set than it is a dealership that does or does not discount.

Thanks LexVan. I sent an email to Kings Automall regarding a car they already have. Figures, it has everything I want except the color. Silver instead of white.

They currently have it listed for just under $100,000. MSRP is ~$111,000. I'll see what they say about movement on the price.

I can take the wrong exterior color over the wrong interior color though. Vinyl wrap is always an option.

I was hoping people who have already bought and got a deal could help me narrow down the number of emails/calls I need to make. Ideally, I would like to make a list of dealerships and check out their current inventory list. I would prefer a 2013 over a 2014, and I would prefer a car already on the lot vs. building my own.

Thanks again for the help tough.

I got 7% off on a custom order back in Feb. Also got 5 payments towards my existing leased car directly from Porsche as a conquest promo they were running. Pretty decent deal overall I think.
It basically comes down to checking with a few dealerships in and out of state in your region.
I would say you are getting a good deal.

In my experience, a dealership doesn't give a rat's *** if you go in saying. ' well, Joe Smith got 7% off, so that's what I want'.

Ya gotta be your own best negotiator. Good luck!
