^sometimes the low volume guy is even more motivated because he wants to keep his allocation allotment or bump it up.

Maybe I took one for the team but getting possibly the first 911/50 in North America is no small feat. I worked very hard for that distinction. This car will be concoured not tracked. Being the first one imported ie the FIRST with the powerkit (european are without powerkit and/or right hand drive) makes it even more of a collectors car. I don't think my request for a discount would have gone very far. I should have it within days at which point I will confirm it is #1.

If it weren't for you, that next guy/gal into the door can't get 7% off. So, we thank you for taking one for the team.
I got 7.9% off on my order. Emailed all the dealers in my state (and a few in neighboring states) and asked for their best price with the options I listed. Internet manager at a dealership 200 miles away replied that he could do it. Then took his email in to my local dealer and he matched it immediately saving me a drive upon delivery. Very easy. The internet is an amazing thing. Thank you Al Gore!

Firstly, when it arrives I said I will have to confirm it is first in north America. I am 99% sure it is the first in Canada and at this point I am unaware of a US delivery but of course I could be wrong. It arrives at my dealership either tomorrow or Friday. Is anyone aware of a US delivered vehicle yet? Still, #1 in Canada makes it even more special. #1 in NA would just be icing. Maybe you could ask your Chicago area dealer if any US cars have been delivered. When it arrives I'll post the number it is out of 1963. Incidently, I tried to reserve a few numbers. Apparently Jerry Seinfeld is getting #1/1963 and the Porsche family have reserved 911/1963....just rumors you know. I assume you know why Jerry always gets the first. Porsche Canada will confirm if mine is the first in Canada....then I will get them to confirm USA. Helps to know people in high places.....wink wink.

Leith Porsche is in England. If you look at the car it is right hand drive. At least I think it's British.
EDIT:It's north Carolina so I'm not sure. I would have thought a large dealership like Brumo or Champion would have gotten first delivery. Maybe it's just coming in and not there yet. I sent them an e-mail asking if it was on their lot or just on order.

I got 5% off when I ordered my 2014 911 C2 (Southern California). I'd say 7% on an order is a good deal...get it!
