Great photos.

Any vibration from the mount at speed, or is it lock down solid?

If you install it the way they recommend (with the license plate angled back and the rubber pads resting on the front bumper) it's very solid.

To be safe I do take it off when I go to the track for HPDEs. It only takes a few minutes to remove and reinstall and I wouldn't want know what would happen if it ripped off at 150MPH.

I used the short brackets - one size up from the recommendation. I followed the chart on our previous 991 and had to tilt the license plate too far forward.

The biggest challenges are:
1. Centering the plate - finding the center point, then measuring properly to determine the proper width or spacing of the brackets.
2. Drilling each hole the same distance back from the edge of the center "grill" so the plate ends up perpendicular to the car.
3. Judging how far back to drill the hole. Too far and you have to decide whether or not the plate will be jammed against the front bumper or tilted at an extreme angle. Too far forward and the gap between plate and bumper might be too wide for your taste.

Taking all that into consideration I still think that this bracket is the best compromise between no plate and the OEM set up. I never had any issues with the brackets on our last car and none with these. Very solid.

Gordon
PS - I also used slightly larger SS screws to mount the brackets. I'll add some photos tomorrow.

Some great pictures in this thread! We'll be installing one with a front camera next week — I'll be sure to post some good pictures when we're done. Well, as good as they can be... Brianja's camera skills are going to be hard to top.

Not sure, customer brought that particular part in to me. If I had to make a stab at it I would call it the "extra short"... Looking at it I'm not sure how you could shave any depth off of it.
