I had the chance to sit in it and it's good. Top Gear is nothing but entertainment.
Sure Nothing but entertainment but Clarkson did manage to break a bit of the interior. A rather important piece of crash restraint.

GM can do their studies but if they can't translate those damn studies into quality materials and manufacturing it don't mean crap to me. Sure they may have a four to one advantage but by the time the engineers and the butthole Bean Counters at the top can't translate that into world beating interiors they still have a long WAY to go.

By the way I still LOVE Corvette and the Performance it achieves - I am not a naysayer to it and the brand but it still has a lot to achieve on a world scale by the time it comes out of Bowling Green.

Seemed like a nice girl but it was definitely the wrong gift.

Thanks, and I Agree
Zombie, I know this is off topic, but have you gone on any of the Eurotopia drives. I recently got a pm for an upcoming drive.

The word value and Porsche should never be used together.

IMO, the world value as it relates to money should not be used with any sports car. These are toys that maybe serve as transportation for some of us. The only value is in the smiles per second / miles we get out of these.

There are kids who dream of owning a Corvette. And no matter much money comes their way, they will always want a Corvette.

Then there is us, most of us dreamt of owning a 911. When we could, we bought one.

I guess these days some kids might dream of owning a Boxster or Cayman.... and you will never convince these kids when they grow up that the 911 or Corvette is a better car or value even if they may or may not be.

I don't think it's any more off topic than this entire thread I received an pm for the Eurotopia too - have never attended. I dunno - not really sure if I'm a fan of the big gatherings - assuming that's even what it is. I used to go to the Saturday morning car gathering that used to be off of PCH at Crystal Cove some years ago. Don't think it's there anymore? That was kind of fun - some really interesting cars would turn up there at least when it started. Then some car dealer types started showing up and it became boring so I stopped going

Hope your Friday is going great.

I loved my 2005 C6 Vette and still miss it. However, I needed a back seat for the kids and that drove me to the 911. In base 3.4 mode, the power is a little anemic but I'm getting used to it.

I paid little over $80k for mine. I wonder if that would have changed the equation.

I wonder what the story would have been had they compared the 458 to the new Vette.
-12000 for value? Disclosure, I own a 991, 458 and a Z06. LOL

Actually...some current Porsches offer fairly decent value.

Man I havn't heard such a b.s. stat in a while. If that stat was actually published I'm sure it was solely through GM testing. C7 interior is good, but not that good. R8 interior is not as good as the 911 either. Unless you're talking about the 997?
