Default Headlight washers?

So i'm expecting my new 991 with headlight washers. They are standard and frankly quite ugly. I ordered them in paint to match so they don't stand out so much. This will be my 4th 911 and I have never used them. Does anyone actually use them or find them attractive? I wish Porsche would make them an option. So many options like heated seats should be standard. Why these ugly washers?

I once activated them in error. For an instant I had no idea what was going on. You know, after a while you don't notice them.

Never used it.

If I drive it year round, could be handy during those slushy days.

They're required with xenon headlights in some countries, I believe. As I understand it, when the headlight front surfaces get dirty they can scatter the low-beam illumination in a manner that can blind oncoming drivers.

They will be activated automatically when needed. You don't usually need to trigger them by hand.

Small button on bottom of windshield wiper stalk.

I don't have a 991, but if the 991 washers work like the 996 & 997 washers, the headlights must be ON for the headlight washers to operate.
