Question oil pressure readings

Test drove a 991 with some mileage on it and noticed the oil pressure gauge at normal operating temp and under load didn't pin to the "top" like my GT3 does.
At idle it read low, but totally normal IMO.

I found it a bit strange.

Is this viewed as normal to you 991 owners?

I read somewhere oil (pump) pressure is varied according to load. So not always max pressure saves energy. Can't recall source though.
