I can concur about the positive attention in SA, can't quite say I've been gifted a parking spot though!

I regularly arrive at my car in parking lots to find people admiring the car - often it's a guy with a kid (sadly not enough attractive women do it!) and they ALWAYS say "my boy wanted to see your car", yeah right! I've been the gawker before I bought the P-car - and I know it's the dad that wanted to check it out.

I don't mind, it's fun.

I've also seen numerous people trying to take photos of my P-car and my DD with their cellphones while driving behind me - that's also fine, so long as they pay attention to my brake lights!

I've generally had mostly positive comments/reactions on the road but I also know the world is full of envious scum. That's why I carry a .45 and have a concealed carry. I'll gladly blow away anyone who threatens me or my property. It's pretty simple.

Must weigh 4 lbs.! And, that BORE! WTF is the target? Buffalo? Soft skinned bipeds don't need that much energy.

I guess looking like someone who just got out of prison tends to scare off most people from messing with me or my car.

On a 3 lane road, passed a car on the left and turned back into the middle lane with about 100 feet of buffer. Car immediately gets on my tail, passes me on the left and cuts me off with inches to spare

I don't believe the driver's reaction was because you drove a Porsche. There are some super alpha males driving cars , and when you pass them, they take it as a challenge to their masculinity. Although the pass was innocuous to you, it was a slap in the face to the driver you passed and hence the reaction.
