I love my C4S. Very different from the M5. The moment I tested drive the C4s...I know I am falling to the dark side. What a car!!

Congratulations on your new car! That's a nice step you did, from a full-size sedan to a coupe
Can I know the reason why you switched from M5 F10 to Carrera? Just a personal preference or there were some valuable reasons?
I like the BMW M5 too, it is very nice, so I wanted to get some info form you, if possible.

Congrats! I love the way the rhodium silver looks blueish in that one shot!
I am a long-time e39 m5 owner (12 years) and am about to pull the trigger on a 991 Turbo S I believe. If I could ask, any reason why you didn't go the Turbo route (since you were so used to torque from the M cars)? Just trying to understand different people's perspectives and experiences. Congrats again and enjoy the car in health!

You will love the turbo s. I went with 4s mainly due to the cost. Lost around 20k on my m5 trade in which hurt my wallet a bit.
The m5 is wonderful. But to be honest after owning it for one year, I found no place I can use the power and torque from it. It is simply too fast on the street. Press the gas paddle and you reach 60mph too fast. In addition, I really don't not get the sensation of speed and fun that I get from the 911 from the m5.
I realize maybe big horse power (m5 has around 600hp from dyno) is not something I am looking for anymore.

The m5 is too heavy, too quite, and I don't really like the feel of the brake. It jerks when you get to complete stop and doesn't feel confident when you need it.
It does have very good interior quality and space. Navigation and the idrive are way ahead of Porsche's. it is super fast with tons of torque. Power is endless but a little boring. Handle wells for its weight but can't compare to the 911.
Another main reason for the switch is I realize I don't really a 4 doors car to commute. We just ordered a 2014 MB GL550 which will be the car to drive with the family

Just answered this on the previous post.

I owned 2 e46 m3 and one 335 before the m5. I have tried the e60. It has more organic and raw feel comparing to f10. But the f10 is faster and rides better and has better interior.

Guess I am yet another. I had an E36 that I got new, and tracked regularly for for 18 years. I sold it at got the 991 CS2 a little over a year ago. Loved the M3, but can't say I miss it. The 911 is better at absolutely everything except trunk space, but it is much newer too.
