Would really appreciate a bit of help.

About to lock in for 50th anniv model specs but not confident about selecting the PASM Sport Suspension option.

If it results in the car being lower than my existing standard 2013 911S then I would sidestep it - too much potential for kerbing/bottoming on the roads out there around me! The website seems a little confused.

Tha Sport PASM is 10mm lower than the standard Carrera S. Also, you get the front lip, which is already standard on the 911-50, that makes for a lower angle of approach on the front.

I found the site a little confusing. Since it now sounds as though with that option I would be 20mm lower than the Base 911, I think I should skip it!

It's 20mm lower than base indeed. The 911-50 is already 10mm lower than base 911, because it's based on the Carrera S, so it comes standard with PASM. (Not Sport PASM)

What is Sport PASM? Is this only offered on the 50th?

On the configurator you can find all information you need. Just click on the blue "i" behind the options.

Sport PASM is the active suspension from Porsche (PASM) with an extra 10mm lowered and stiffer suspension. It's available on all Carrera coupe models (not on the cab).

My advisor tells me SPASM incorporates shorter, firmer springs, revalved shocks and stiffer sway bars.

I test drove PASM and SPASM back to back and chose NOT to get it on my new build. I'm sure it's great on the track but just too firm for city streets and highway tar strips for me.

I too drove them both. While the sport PASM is visually a bit better, I found it too stiff for normal city driving with typical pot hole infested roads and speed bumps everywhere. Also the front spoiler is very easily scuffed and scraped. I went with the regular height PASM on my Carrera S.

I have it on my 991 and worth the $950 for what you are getting, stiffer springs and larger torsion bars. I'm coming from a base 991 to a 991S w S-PASM and it makes the car sit correct height in my opinion. much sleeker closer to the ground.
The ride harshness is not that different from the base, but I can feel the car taking corners much better.

"Much sleeker"? 1 cm lower is "much sleeker"? Sometimes I think it is easy to lose perspective on this stuff.

Ok "sleeker" not best use of word, but the additional 10mm, almost 1/2inch, is a noticeable difference visually and in hard cornering in my opinion.

Meanwhile...I'm still looking for springs that work with the SPASM to lower it more, lol.
