I have it on my 991 and worth the $950 for what you are getting, stiffer springs and larger torsion bars. I'm coming from a base 991 to a 991S w S-PASM and it makes the car sit correct height in my opinion. much sleeker closer to the ground.
The ride harshness is not that different from the base, but I can feel the car taking corners much better.

Love my Sport PASM.
Recently set tire pressure to comfort level and can use Sport Plus all the time.

I too am very interested in the SPASM for my 50th build and at this time have it included.
The oppoerunity to lower the car and have a beefier suspension for $950 is very inviting.
For those who feel that it is too harsh, have you tried it in normal mode and if so, is it still too harsh for everyday driving?
For those who are proponents of SPASM, have you had significant lip spoiler scraping?
Further input (pro and con) would be appreciated.

I love my Sport PASM. It is far more supple than my 2008 RS-60 Spyder was. In "eco" mode it is as comfortable as my Infiniti G35S sedan on trips.
it is comfortable enough that I use Sport all the time around town (ok, thats to hear PSE I admit, but it is just fine if one avoids curbs and objects in the road).
I had one major scrape a week after I got the car- backing down a sharp driveway perpendicular to the street. But it snapped right back on!
Now 16 months and 15k miles later, it still looks like new unless the car is on a lift and the scraped underside shows.
All in all it is the bargain on the Configurator.

Great info. Sounds like you are very satisfied with your choice. I suspect that depending where you are in Maryland, your streets are probably not in the greatest condition which may be further testimony for SPASM.

As far as scraping goes, worst case scenario is you can replace that part (which just snaps in) for about $220. Not that bad. I ordered it on my Oct allocation Carrera S.

With PASM, two overlapping "maps" vary damper rebound rate; if you have it, PCCD dynamically adjusts roll stiffness; in S models dynamic engine mounts vary weight transfer of the engine mass (in sport settings), being a bit lower due to the shorter springs lowers the car mass, which affects, etc, etc.
Just to avoid controversy and slow down the velocity of this thread, I should add that it returns a bit more of the old style steering signals to the brain too.

I can't speak to the 991 SPASM, but I have it on my 997.2 GTS and love it. I had two previous 997.1 with regular PASM and I much prefer the SPASM. I would say if you are wanting a more sporty feel to the car, get the SPASM. If you are more interested in a smoother, boulevard cruiser type ride, get the standard PASM.
