Deferred gratification
For the first time in my P-Car ownership (911: 1996, 1998, 2002, 2009, 2013), I have decided to go through the break in process as described on the manual.
Mile 2000 is here and how sweet it is.

I see you were in Sport + prior to 2000 miles
I behaved for the first 2000 miles also ...don't know how much difference it makes, but it sure felt good when the wait was over!
Now, what's the over/under on how long it takes for someone to post a metaphor for my statement above?
I know I've told you this before ...and I still can't get over how big the 991 is...you look so small in your avatar.

^^ Those red gauges look amazing! I know the feeling of crossing the golden mile. I was dying to try the launch control in the new 991 after hearing how much more potent it felt compared to my 997.2. Enjoy driving it like you stole it!

You caught me red handed. For whatever its worth, mine is a 7 speed MT and I have kept it in Sport Plus at times without going over the recommended RPM. For a PDK Auto mode, driving in Sport Plus would be problematic if you are trying to keep it below the recommended RPM during the "break in" period.
