Getting Ready to Order
I think I am just about set with the car I have built just short of 1000 times. Went to a dealer today to build it on his computer so I could see more details and add the pricing for the deviated stitching. So any input would be great. Thanks

Looks like you've got a pretty good build. I think the deviated stitching options are going to look great.
The one option I would reconsider is the power steering plus. I personally wouldn't bother with it. It gives a lot of assistance at lower speeds, but i've found the regular power steering to be just fine. If you're going to be doing a lot of 3-point turns or parallel parking, it may be useful, otherwise i'd skip it.
Either way, fantastic build, you've got all the major bases covered!

Thanks for the insight. I had thought a lot about the power steering but since this car is my dads and I am just the builder, my mom will be driving the car as well so we opted to add it.

Burning Brakes
I have never come even close to that in my 7MT 3.4L. Highest I've seen was around 29mpg on a short road trip averaging 65-75mph. Around town, without flogging, it's usually in the 19mpg range for a tank. With bikes on the roof (which I usually have on road trips) it ranges from 23-27mpg depending on speed average.
PS: I use 7th gear whenever possible and always use the highest gear possible when cruising around.

Yeah, Key Left - you need to tell us your secrets. I'm usually around 18-20 mpg and I cruise at relatively low RPMs.
Edit - looking over my gas log I've been averaging 21mpg.

In that case, I wouldn't change a thing - just make sure you can sneak in a drive when your parents aren't driving it.

The 3.4L has 5600 miles since June 17th delivery . Changed oil at 2000 miles, never exceeded 4200 prior to that point , as Porsche instructed. Drive around town to do a few errands (work at Home). On weekends long drives exclusively... Cape Cod, Ocean City MD. Newport Ri , Monticello NY (I am Saratoga NY based). Etc. etc. The long and short is broken in right. When we completed 4600 miles the engine suddenly went from clatter at idle to hummmm. Even our dealer was amazed at the change. We did 35 mpg going to the Cape average, and 32 mpg coming back. It's been like that consistently. Also run Mobil 93, almost exclusively. Drive manual..1,2,3 and straight to 7. That's been it. Let me know if I can answer any further questions.

Hey, I wish I had good news but I dont. My car has still not been ordered. The dealer that I have been working with to order this car said that he has been unable to get an allocation number to order my car and that Porsche is not giving many allocation numbers out right now for 2014 models. This doesnt make any sense to me and it is making me quit annoyed. Do you guys know anything about this??
Thanks
