I was in your same boat - got a quick yes answer, told about $1,500, then they looked into it a bit more, it went to $2,200, then they called Porsche which told them the steering column had to be changed to accommodate the stalk that replaces the multi-function, it then went to $3,500 plus a factor for "unknowns" - at that point I went to the configurer and ordered a car

Oh boy! I was so afraid this would be the case. The worst case!

Yes, I did it. Worst experience ever.

I had a base C2 with the crap MF wheel and swapped in the Sport Paddle wheel.

I can honestly say the car was never the same, as the wheel always looked to be off center by just a fraction of a degree. Drove me crazy.

Either find a car that came from the factory that way or pass on it. Don't bother with the techart 3rd party mod unless you want your car to depreciate even more.

looks great ... what parts other than the wheel core you had to order and how much did it cost?

I currently have the MF wheel and a spare sport design core but missing the stalks ... looking to make the change

A question for those that have converted from MF to SD or added that Techart paddles:

Does paddle neutral work (i.e. clicking both paddles at the same time shifts the PDK to neutral?)
