Default Anyone About To Sell a 991?

I *may* pull the trigger on one of the two 991s I've been stalking tomorrow or Friday. So this is your last chance to have me bail you out of that garage-sucking, gas-slurping, depreciation machine known as a 911.

I am looking for a 7 speed manual 2012 or 2013. I don't have the budget for a 4, a 4S, an S, a Turbo, a Turbo S, an RSR or probably anything but a lowly C2.

So if you are going to be getting rid of one, please PM me RIGHT AWAY and let's get talking!

What are the specs and prices of the two. It might help prospective sellers to enter the competition for your wallet.

$75k for a new 2012, $78k for a <3,000 mile 2013. Both stickering around $93k. I am awaiting the emailed contract on one, so if you are interested, speak now or forever hold your peace. lol

Not bad. Which way are you leaning and why?

2012. Just awaiting the paperwork. They are both similarly equipped, but a brand new car is hard to resist. Exterior color is better on the '13, interior is nicer on the '12. We'll see. It ain't done til it's done.

Sounds great. Good luck and hopefully report back with a success story and pictures.

From a post on a prior thread, it is best to check the warranty situation even though it is a "new" car.

You work in finance by chance? Trader perhaps?
Good luck with the purchase. $75K is a "beautiful thing". I'll be floored if it passes the sniff test.

I am reconsidering whether either of these cars is really right for me. Why can't I find a private party selling a nice, base 991? I'd so much rather deal with an individual than a dealership, and IL sales tax treatment is preferable for a private sale, too.

Probably because owners of MT 991s are more likely to be enthusiasts who hold onto their cars for awhile? Time to revisit a new Cayman S! You will not regret it.

Glad to hear that the voice of reason may prevail.
There are private sale base 991's, just not yet at your price point.
These cars are going nowhere, so give it twelve months and revisit the market.

It's a nice "toy" and not much more...

Btw, what are you driving now that is so unbearable?

Ha! A 2004 M3 6 speed with 22k miles. Not so unbearable. :-)
