Default 911 emblem

I just bought my dream car on Saturday, my first Porsche 911 (991). My question is I have the C2S, but the emblem on the back of the car is "Porsche" and under that is "911". But there isn't an "S" after that. I see the 911 badge was a $95ish option. Just curious why it doesn't have 911 S?

Sorry for being such a noobie, coming from a M3...

Sounds like you chose some badging deletion?

The default badging would be

P O R S C H E
911 Carrrera S

But you can remove some of that in the configurator. If it just says 911 that was apparently done.

Welcome to the infinite debate about what looks "just right" on the back of a 991!

Very nice car.
A pre-owned purchase I presume, as the configurator would have given you the option of deleting the badge.

Personally I believe that less is more and opted to go with just PORSCHE and 911 (no "S" or Carrera).

If you change your mind you can buy an "S" in Silver or Red, as well as a new set of 911 numbers.

You'll need dental floss, a ruler, tape, regular goo-gone and patience to realign and center the 4 characters (as opposed to 3).

Easy project to do..

PS. You could also Plastic Coat your letters in Black for greater contrast to your white car. I believe an instructional video was posted somewhere on this board.

It doesn't have an "S" because Porsche uses the "911 Carrera S" name now not 911S. I realize this is being technical but it isn't a 911S so wouldn't change the name to that. Lots of opinions on here but I also agree with less is more. My rear just says "Porsche."

Great, thanks for all the insight! I'll leave it the way it is, I was just curious. Thanks!

No need to include the S unless you feel the need to compensate for something else like male pattern baldness (my issue). I say debadge and take off the 911 designation. It is, after all, the most recognizable car in the world. If you bought for status rather than your own enjoyment, buy the letter "s". Either way, it's all in your head. Nobody cares.

No wonder I thought your car is gorgeous! LOL. The car does look beautiful in white, in my humble opinion (and in most other colors too).

BEAUTIFUL caR ! I think WHITE is one of the BEST colors for the 991. I have a white 9974S and love it on the 997 as well. My next car will likely be the Rhodium Silver color (for a change) ;-))))
