Actually, the Escort laser shifters they installed, which aren't very good anyway, are illegal in California.

we do alot of escort and all of my custome who have one have been more than satified

if you double tap the mute button then it disables the laser shifting for 30 seconds

Escorts Shifters come turned off out of the box the reason most people have problems with them is they never take the time to activate the laser shifters and turn them on on the unit

Escort is one of the few system that is legal to sell and install in California.

The customer is responsible to activate the laser shifters in the setting menu.
