Default Upgrading exhaust on a C2 - PSE or aftermarket

I have been looking at options for upgrading the exhaust on my C2. I'm really leaning towards getting something that has valves so that it has two volume levels...his and hers . Has anyone gotten an aftermarket exhaust and gotten the oem porsche parts to control the bypass valves on the aftermarket system? I know I need a new center console with the exhaust button, but what else is needed?

Akrapovic comes with a wireless module that can control its valves. No need for new dash or extra wired exhaust button. But it is expensive !

I just installed the Akra, its epic.

Def go for the wireless kit if you do go Akra, it completely changes the character, tone, sound and volume.

Wireless kit is available from Gert at Carnewal too, for about $250. Very cheap.

I would definitely not spend $9k on an Akra.

For a C2, the problem is that it lacks the vacuum actuator so it's a little more complex but not too bad.

Cargraphics and FVD both make x pipes that work with the stock mufflers, but unlike the S, you'll need different exhaust tips to use them. They are $2500 +/-

Here is a video of the cargraphics:

Thanks for all of the suggestions. Has anybody used Porsche parts to control the exhaust valves? I have to believe its possible as I can get the PSE for my C2 and it includes the new center console, valve control, etc. It costs a few dollars more the the PSE for the C2S, so am assuming that's to cover the extra parts needed- the question is what else is needed?

I had my dealer add PSE after a year. The factory kit included the PSE muffler, valves, and exhaust tips. The button for the console was at additional cost for some reason. There have been references here about needed an new console, which I don't understand, as the button was installed in my old one.

I had the same thing done as "Spourreza" on Friday on my C2S. While researching, I saw that the C2 PSE was a few hundred $ more than the C2S PSE( 2990.00 vs. 2700.00) None of the OEM PSE's include the switch/button, its an extra $230 +/-. Although, I beleive Suncoast Porsche in Sarasota Florida includes it and they had the lowest price if you want to get it shipped in. Get on their website, they advertise it. My install at a Porsche Dealer was $900.00 even and it took them 7 hours to put it in.
Good Luck
Joe

Same cost and experience as Joe.

The car is now perfect, and needs no more mods, unless I need a sport steering wheel or the GT3 side mirrors and they don't cost more than a subcompact.
