Default New car day

I picked up this beauty over the weekend ... almost exactly how I would have spec'd a new build. Wanted white, but was not sure about the red until I saw it person and it looked great. Actually, my first 993 coupe was grand prix white over a full leather flamenco red interior, so feeling right at home. And was very happy to get Carrara white instead of the new white.

2012 991 Carrera cabriolet
4,200 miles, one owner, sold and serviced at the same dealer
CPO till 6-18 or 100k miles
Carrara white
Cabriolet roof in red
Carrera red natural leather interior
Sports seats plus
Bose
PDK
Sport chrono
Dimming mirrors
Seat heating
Light design package
Power steering plus
Multifunction wheel
6-disc DVD changer
Storage bin lid with Porsche crest
5mm wheel spacers
Porsche crest on seat headrests
Sport seat backs in sheathed in leather

The car I was considering ordering I was leaning toward the espresso natural leather, but the red looks great. I would have done PSE instead of the Bose system but that can be added later. One thing I really like is the backs of the sports seats done in red leather, as the white, red and black look dynamite together but the grey plastic backs on the sport seats would have been a bit jarring to my eye. Not a cheap option at $1,870 but glad it's there. The car looks and smells brand new; the previous owner obviously babied it; she is the CEO of a local company and took advantage of Porsche's program to forgive up to the last 12 payments if she took a new lease; she ordered an identical new car from the same dealer.

Now I need to sell a bunch of guitars to pay for it, so any Rennlisters who sling a 6-string, get in touch. Righties welcome

Very pretty car! Everyone is going to tell you to change the side markers to clear so let me be the first.
VJD, are you a leftie, too?

Ha. Already ordered 'em.

I am a lefty, I started the guitar business because I could never find a decent lefthanded guitar. Now I have about 50 of them here.

To my eye it looks better-than-red, almost maroonish, classy color combo. IMHO

Good luck!!

Thanks for the kind words. It's not as orangey as Boxster red, and it's definitely not lipstick red (or CanCan red). It reminds me of flamenco, a little richer looking. Not as brown as chestnut, either.

Never thought I would like a white cab with red interior, but this one looks great. Congrats.

Slantnose, if you're still on this thread, I apologize for digressing but really like the blue color in your post - looking at a new build and would really appreciate some outdoor pics if you could post some and also the name of the color. Thanks.

Nice combo. For some contrast try some black floor mats.

And so is the Porsche Sport Exhaust.
