Default Deal on Base 991 Closeouts?

Perhaps this is a long shot, but if anyone sees their dealer selling out a base 2013 911 for under $80k as the 2014s come in, please PM me. I want a manual transmission, but other than that am fairly flexible.

Well, they can sticker for under $90k. I don't think it's out of the question.

Its true, the starting price of the 911 base model is 84k but the problem is that most dealer lots are full of 100k+ "base" 911s. I think if you wanted to order one you could probably get one for under 80k but I doubt you will find one on the lot for that price. A quick autotrader search shows the cheapest 911s to be in the high 80s. Also, they are 2014s.

LOL !!

The problem is that a bare-boned base 991 is in itself hard to come by.
Few people order them that way, and even the ones that the dealers configure and sell off the lot, also tend to have at least a few options.

As you know just a couple of options later (for instance PDK + Sunroof) and you're looking at another $5000+.

But best of luck with your 2013 search.

I agree it's a longshot, but you can do a search yourself by looking at dealer's inventories via the PorscheUSA website. Of course a dealer could search for you but doing it yourself decreases any bias. My "lot bought" 2012 base was "lightly optioned" in the grand Porsche scheme of things but still stickered at $92K.

Yes. I don't want PDK, and I am looking at used ones as well. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

I am doing that. I was hoping to catch someone here who got an email from a dealer with perhaps special pricing, or who was wondering around a lot and was told of a car they really wanted to get rid of. I figure if more people know what I want, there's a greater chance I will know about one if they pop up. I am searching all the usual places as well.

This is probably one of the lowest stickers I've seen. Being close to 2014 models coming in you may get a deal.

They are good people. I've bought from them for 10 years or so. GL.

There's a heck of a gap between their list and my ever expanding budget.

Porsche of Norwell (Boston area) has a 2013 coupe, aqua blue over grey, that is very lightly optioned. Their initial quote to me on a cabriolet was 5 percent below sticker without me even attempting to negotiate.

Sticker is $93,090. It has a MT, multifunction wheel, Bose, heated seats and ParkAssist. Stock ID 3047-3.

Ask for Mark Webber 781 261 5000.

Ira Porsche in Danvers MA has a pair of coupes -- one silver (2014), one dark blue (2013) -- also lightly optioned, stickers around $94k. The fact that there is a 2014 silver might entice them to deal on the 2013 blue car. They used to be (maybe still are) a Rennlist sponsor and the guy to ask for is Alfie. He may still be active on here.

Good luck!

With msrp in the 90's it is unlikely you'll get a deal under 80 like you requested
