PCM reboot
happened to me twice already. Takes only about 10 secs to recover (displays black screen, then Porsche logo, etc.)
Both times it was when I was playing a song off a USB memory stick.
Saw something about this in the 997 forum, looks like it might be firmware update. But for this car I'm kinda doubtful there is a fw update available yet...
Has this happened to anyone else with a new 991?

Not exactly during playing like you but occasionally I turn the whole screen off (hold down the LHS button for a few secs) and then it re-boot again if I turn it back on.

It has happened to me two or three times. Frustrating.
My car was at the dealer for the Carrera 4 gauge cluster reprogramming recall and they feel that it might be addressed by that (doubtful). They also said that they were told by Porsche NA that a PCM software update for the car is going to be released in August.

I've only seen the Porsche logo once and it was when I was starting the car - I remember it struck me as odd because I had never seen that on the screen before. Otherwise, it shows the "Carrera" logo when starting up.

Forgive my ignorance, but is there a central resource for all these programs/conquests/updates/recalls? There seems to be one every month or two but owners don't seem to ever be notified. And with service intervals now so long, it would be nice to have a resource for these things.
