I like the aero kit. If I hadn't got a launch car I would have gotten it too.

Ive seen a lot of people say they don't like the aerokit, but they drool over the new GT3. Is that because they truly don't like it cosmetically or because they think it doesn't belong on a carrera? before the gt3 was released, the aerokit is what most predicited would be on the GT3, as the mule cars in europe were driving around with that rear element; for me its hard to argue that the aerokit doesn't look good, and i agree that its fairly "loud" for a Carrera. Maybe its a question of whether heritage-wise it belongs on a carrera because traditionally its been on turbos and gt3's? In general my guess is a lot of P-car owners are a bit "older" and more conservative, so I get it. But for me I felt i was paying such a ridiculous amount of money for a non-turbo 911, that I should just go for it...and like the 991 itself, it has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated....

The inspired confidence and road feel at high speeds in the 991 are surprisingly similar to 2012+ Gtr. The porsche just feels so much more solid and well built. For porsche virgins that drive a 991 for the first time, its almost a sensation that your driving a car built out of granite; even compared to my old 09' M6. Im not sure if its just this 991 or all porsches, it feels amazingly well built. The 991 has much better turn-in and more nimble around tight turns. 3100lb vs 3800lb is a big difference. I did 40k miles in the Gtr in 2 yrs as a daily driver and tracked it few times, I plan to track this 991 also. The harshness of the ride in the GTR is exaggerated by many; its not what makes it a bad daily driver; its the complete lack of sound insulation to the point that you can't hear the person next to you (like flying in a Cessna), and the cheap interior. But the Gtr steering feels as connected to the road and responsive as this 991. The greatness of the 991 for me so far is the jeckyl and hyde ability to go from a comfortable daily driver to an aggressive sports car with the press of a button, whereas the Gtr is just violently fast and raw all the time. When i test drove a C2S a months ago it felt neutered, but it is much faster now then i was expecting; but requires high rpms to get going. No regrets moving on....
I wouldn't exactly call the GTR "raw" though...

I like it and the aero kit differentiates your car from all the other 991s. The 991 is a handsome car, but the kit gives it a more sporting look, appropriate for a high performance car.
