GTR to C2S
First time porsche owner, but a long time reader of this great forum. I recently moved from a 2012 GTR (daily driver) to my 1 day old C2S (new daily driver) and so far I am extremely happy with the decision...I was very torn on a ducktail vs the aerokit which i initially thought was a bit GT3 wanna-be-ish, but i figured its a factory porsche option and went for it.....after 300 miles im just beginning to understand the porsche obsession...

Congrats on the purchase I love everything about it, expect it needs some Clear Side Markers. Enjoy.

The inspired confidence and road feel at high speeds in the 991 are surprisingly similar to 2012+ Gtr. The porsche just feels so much more solid and well built. For porsche virgins that drive a 991 for the first time, its almost a sensation that your driving a car built out of granite; even compared to my old 09' M6. Im not sure if its just this 991 or all porsches, it feels amazingly well built. The 991 has much better turn-in and more nimble around tight turns. 3100lb vs 3800lb is a big difference. I did 40k miles in the Gtr in 2 yrs as a daily driver and tracked it few times, I plan to track this 991 also. The harshness of the ride in the GTR is exaggerated by many; its not what makes it a bad daily driver; its the complete lack of sound insulation to the point that you can't hear the person next to you (like flying in a Cessna), and the cheap interior. But the Gtr steering feels as connected to the road and responsive as this 991. The greatness of the 991 for me so far is the jeckyl and hyde ability to go from a comfortable daily driver to an aggressive sports car with the press of a button, whereas the Gtr is just violently fast and raw all the time. When i test drove a C2S a months ago it felt neutered, but it is much faster now then i was expecting; but requires high rpms to get going. No regrets moving on....

Beautiful car. You captured the essence of the 991 with your description of the difference from the GTR. I look forward to your track comparison. My guess is that you can go faster in the GTR but you cant go better.
