I think its a little silly that they went with a Plaid motive for the seat centers. That is a styling cue that will look like poop after a decade or two. You would know what i mean if you ever watch the British show 'Wheeler Dealers' where they run into garbage like that from time to time when they are fixing a car up to move it a long.

That's a matter of personal taste I guess. I like it.

I like the houndstooth cloth, personally. The only thing about the car I'm not a fan of is the wheels.

I think these wheels would look better:

The grey does look a lot lighter than the Porsche photos and I also don't like it. I placed my initial order in Geyser Grey. I have two black cars now and wanted to do something different.
I hope someone can get some good picks of the geyser grey before I have to pull the final trigger.

Very strange, because this link works for me on my notebook as well as my iPad and iPhone. Maybe try another browser or you're missing a plugin?

The 991-50 should be purchased as a collectible and not a daily driver. If you use it as a DD, it will be fun but eventually it will become your Porsche car that you use every day and when the next series of 911's comes out, you will be ready for a new car. Of course by then the value of the car will be greatly diminished since it was a DD. Now if you are a collector, and can maintain the car with just enough use to keep it vital, that's a whole different ballgame.
IMHO the value and the beauty of the 50th anniversary edition would be to keep it as the factory made it, with no special customizing, and decide to keep it for a very long time.

^^^ +991 +50

Totally agree. And not as a collectible in terms of an investment, but because you like Porsche.

That's a good point. I will be driving mine not as a daily driver per sae but a couple of times a week. Maybe 3000 miles a year. I'm a collector who likes to drive my collection rather than just detail and stare at the stable. I enjoy the special feeling each unique car imparts to me while I'm driving it.

After watching the video, I am more satisfied than ever that I elected to pass on the 50th edition and rather take much earlier delivery of my original white 911S... just 5-6 weeks to go!
