I have Sport+ w/ PDK on my '12S . I didn't think it would be important to me, since the car is my dd, and pretty much a gt car. S+ transforms the car into a real sports car. I feel as if I have 2 different cars! I was going to get a 4S, but couldn't pass up the 2S as offered. I am very pleased w/ my choice

When ordering new, for me no contest, base car !
The two cars being compared are apples and oranges. The HP difference and the 4 wheel drive are enough reason to base the decision, the other issues are secondary in my mind. if PDK, sport chrono apparently is a must have .

Higher torque on the C4S std versus the C2S with Chrono? Really?
