0-60 in 4.7s? Uh.. No. Not even close.
Also, is he not sitting a bit too close to the wheel? His forearms are pretty much against the steering wheel!

It's 0-62mph (0-100km/h) but that time must be 4.5sec according to Porsche.
He is a professional racingdriver so I guess he knows what he is doing. when I had a racing training at Spa Francorchamps, I was told that I had to get closer to the steering wheel in order to get better control. So I think he does it the right way

Oh good to know. Guess I've been doing it wrong all these years!
Only reason why I said not even close is because independent tests with the C2S does it in 3.7s (at sea level).

Hahaha I only say what they said to me but I have to admit, for some reason it works on a track. Just looks a bit strange.

Okay, but I assume that is a 0-60 time? Or 0-62? 0-62 is mostly a couple of tenths slower. But it's pretty fast and a big positive difference with the time Porsche specifies.

The reason why race drivers keept so close to the wheel is arm fatigue. Having your arms bent like that takes a huge load off versus straight-arming the way we did back in the day.

not w/ power steering plus!

i sit a lot closer when on the track vs in town.

It's not the steering, it's using muscles to keep your elbows high versus resting them. Fatigue is the enemy.

Maximum steering response and control which also is why it's less on fatigue. Sort of natural according to the F1 guys. "Be the car"

That does not explain why race drivers sit close to the wheel. Whatever. It's not worth it.
