Suzy, that's another program about how the 991 and the new factory were created and is the best of the documentaries yet. The one we've been referring to is called "Dream Cars". Both are well worth watching but "Supercars" by National Geographic is the best but "Dream Cars" is also worth watching. Here is the trailer for it:
If you want to watch the entire episode, they'll charge US$1.99.
They also have one on the R8 which is also well worth watching.

The R8 episode was an eye opener. Never realized that car had as much performance. Plus the level of hand (r8) vs robot (911) build was quite interesting.
Discovery replays stuff hundreds of times so just browse around with your DVR and you're bound to find it

Yeah, the R8 is quite a car, especially the Spyder, IMO. I was never a fan of the Coupe with its side blades. Also, the V8 version was relatively slow for its price but the S-Tronic seems to have eliminated that and now they offer the S-Tronic with the V10, it's truly a supercar in looks and performance while still being a reliable and comfortable (for most) daily driver. I'm big and found the seat too narrow but that's my problem, not one particular to the R8. Next time I'm near an Audi dealer I intend to sit in one again to see if they've done anything with the seat because I'd sure love to own one again, especially now that they've upgraded the interior options and added the S-Tronic (though their old school, gated 6-speed manual is a joy to drive).

Between the constant mispronunciation and at least 3 references to the "V6" it was a bit hard to listen to. As a manufacturing guy, however, I did enjoy the video. I was especially impressed by the precision by which the robots can place such large assemblies.
Since we are on (off) the topic of the dumbing down of America, try "clips" vs. "magazines." This makes our heads explode over in the F&A forum.
