One question though, i have this system in my truck and have the display unit integrated into my dash area so it is more in my line of sight. did you consider mounting the display in that area, my concern would be if my stereo is cranked up, and i did not immediately hear the audio warning, would the small led be visible enough alone?

thank you
We can pretty much integrate this unit to anywhere our customers like. For the 991s, however, we have not had anyone prefer any other location as this provides the most OEM look. As for the LED, it is certainly more visible at night, but you can still see it when it turns red. We also take into consideration the height of the driver and decide exactly where to mount the LED to be most visible.

OK thanks, I have the LED light on my truck dash and agree its pretty visible
I wish you were closer to me to get this done. I'm probably going to go with
the Bell version (which is I think the same) with the blinder laser system which I read is a better laser product and is supported by my own experience.

thanks again for posting, as I say, I wish I could work with you as opposed to 'borrowing' your idea.
cheers

Yes, the Bell version is identical with a few other bands added as it was designed for the Euro market.

Very typical on the rear license plate, the system is just bolted on top of the license plate frame. Nothing wrong with that except for it not being discreet. Here is how we do it:

What if you want the stainless silver plate frame, is there a way to match that?

Give Detailing Dynamics in Mineola a call. They do great job on clearbra and do electronics work too.

Maybe I'm missing something here but are these jammers legal? In my jurisdiction they aren't. So, if the operatore gets a "E 03" message when pointing at my car and then points at the car beside me and gets a proper reading, isn't he likely to pull me over for suspicion of possession of an illegal device and then search the car? I mean, they cops surf the internet too don't they?

Error messages pop up frequently as we were told by some of our clients that are police officers. It can be anything from missing the front end of the vehicle to poor road conditions such as thunderstorms. To answer your question about legality, here in California it is not legal when they are on. So for our customers, we create a kill switch that immediately shuts off the unit when they need it off. In addition, the way we install and mount the shifters, displays, etc....we integrate the system so it gets close to OEM specs so it is difficult to spot.

If you don't mind saying, did you get the whole front and how much did it cost you? I had the Xpel Ultimate put on and it looks great. I am looking now for a custom installer on the passport radar. Know any? thanks
