Default Help! Battery is Dead

I called roadside, they are on their way. I don't even have enough battery to open the trunk or take off the parking brake to get it out of the garage.

Is there a manual override for either?

Sorry to hear. Did you park your car for a long time or have long parking intervals (days/ weeks) between drives?

Yes, you have to open the door with the "real" key and connect a battery to the fuse box. You can find the details here:

This has happened to me twice on my car in less than a year of ownership...both times the car was jumped by roadside and didn't happen again for months...no reason - asked dealer, they have no idea...very odd...

Alg, glad that worked! I use a trickle charger whenever I am not going to use my car for more than a few days, as its such as hassle to deal with a dead battery. With that said, I know it was only one day for you. Hopefully there was a simple explanation, like the dome light left on or something.

Knock on wood, I have never had any problems even when travel has kept me away from the car for a couple of weeks.
