Default Ventilated seats... You feel them?

So the weather has turned quite hot lately so I switched on the ventilated seats for a first time. I don't feel anything... Or maybe vaguely cooler, i can't tell. That was at maximum settings. What should I expect from that function? Actual air blowing out from my seats?

The fans pull air through the seats, rather than blowing it. So there is never a breeze to speak of. The colder the air the more you feel it. With the AC on in my coupe the effect is very noticeable. Windows down on a warm day, at best it just wicks away sweat. I use it especially on long trips and am glad I have it.

I love the ventilated seats! I never have my windows down and almost always run the AC because I keep it on auto. They are very noticeable at the highest setting and barely noticeable at the lowest setting.

They work great. Immediate, passive and cold - very effective and a must have for black leather.

Agree, a must have for black interior in warmer climates. I really like mine, they work well and can feel the cool air as soon as the car begins to cool due to AC.

Beige leather interior. I do feel the seat ventilation immediately.

OK, I had the convertible top down, AC blowing out from vents and all the wind while driving... that's probably why I don't feel much of the ventilated seats.

I had it in a service loaner last year in a Boxster. Without the A/C blazing, i.e. hot day with the top down I found it ineffective for cooling. It needs cool air to pull through the seats to be of benefit.

Looks like you went to some rather extreme lengths to explore the operation of the ventilated seats...

I feel like I am sitting on ice within 10 secs of turning it on. But I have beige seats. That might help since it absorbs less heat than darker colour. Hence a lower starting temperature, I assume.

My guess... they can't pull air through your leather pants. :-)
