Same issue here, used painters tape to hold it in place until I go to the dealer. It will not stay in place.

It's a warranty piece. Been told its a common failure. Pisses me off that my new Porsche is nowhere near as well built as my old 993 Porsche.

Happened to my driver's door, as well. Somebody should report this to Porsche AG.

This happened to my passenger door - the cover snapped right back in and has stayed in place since.

Same happened to me but, damage done. Dealer had to order the part (both sides) but, according to them, same part # so, may happen again. They say it has been happening here and there and they know exactly what I was talking about when I brought it in.
