You can try it yourself - there is a "bug" in the fuel averaging calculations. It overflows after a 1000 miles or so (have not determined the exact point of overflow) - just keep going, don't reset. Eventually you'll be able to brag if you ever meet a Prius owner. Just don't show him your actual gas purchase slips.
