After living with my car for a while i remained unhappy with the cluster of letters/numbers on the back. After thinking about various options i went with changing the 911 carrera s line to 911s, with the s in red. I cant take credit for this, another rennlister posted pics of their modification, so thank you whoever that was.
I did come close to removing everything and just having the 911s (i saw a pic of the new GT3 that just had GT3 badging) but for some reason to my eye it didnt look right.
Next is to install the CF rear diffuser, then ceramic coat the exhaust tips (thanks Nicoli) and possibly do the bumperplugs reflector covers, tho i think the current red looks quite nice against the blue. Oh, thanks to eric at bumperplugs for the great product, shipping time and customer service.

Looks much improved...and I agree that you should keep the red reflectors.
What did Eric do you you? I assume it was painting your S red.

To each his own. Personally, I prefer the stock badging. I like the balance between the width of P O R S C H E on the top and the width of 911 Carrera S on the bottom so it all doesn't look top-heavy.
Also, Carrera is a hallowed name in Porsche's DNA and racing heritage. Since its been the stock designation on the rear deck of every 911 since 1984, who am I to disagree?
Of course I do see that you bought the Carrera license plate frame, so you've got that going for you.

[QUOTE=TTCarrera;10380639]To each his own. Personally, I prefer the stock badging. I like the balance between the width of P O R S C H E on the top and the width of 911 Carrera S on the bottom so it all doesn't look top-heavy.
I also thought about that, was thinking about just having Carrera S as the second line to balance it out. The good thing is that its simple to change, who knows in 6 months something else might appeal, right now i like the look which is of course subjective.
My last 911, a silver cab, was kind of anonymous and i didn't really make it my own as such. I really wanted to go a different direction this time with something a little more individualistic, maybe stand out a little more, and if you do that there will be folks that don't necessarily like it.
Enjoy your car
cheers

Stock sure does have a lot going on. I like your thinking and results. The other variation I was thinking about: Just drop the 911 part, go with Porsche Carrera S.
Nice job though, red S looks cool!
