2014 Configurator features Michelin tires...
All the 991 C2S I've seen have been booted with P-Zero's. I really wanted the Michelins. Now I see that, for 2014, even the configurator, has the C2S booted with Michelins. Too bad for all of us that wanted the new pilot super sports with delivery and had to settle for P-zeros.

I wouldn't count on what is shown on the configuration. OEMs will go with whichever vendor is providing the best value. At any given point in the MY, tires can change.
Wish I had gotten PSS tires as well.

IIRC the 2012/2013 configurator also showed michelins, and cars were delivered with pzeros. Also the cars shown have clear side markers, all US cars are delivered with yellow ones. YMMV, but the configurator isn't 100% accurate.

I just bought a set of Super Sports for my M3: cheaper and longer tread life rating than the old Michelin Pilot Sports. (By the way, the US DOT tread life numbers are only useful for comparing tires from the same manufacturer.)
The back ones were made in the USA. The front ones are from France. I got a $70 debit card rebate to boot. The price for set of four has gone down $45 since I bought mine in February.
Since only two tires would fit in the car for the trip to the dealer, I just have new ones on the front for now. The old back tires have 3/32" of tread and are toasted (vulcanized and no grip). The car's tail happy now. I'm getting a year's worth of drifting out of my system in a few months before having the new rears installed.
From what I can see, Michelin is the only thing our of France that works, and it looks like they're gradually moviing more production out of the country. This is the first time I've seen their top-line tires come from anywhere other than France.
