Default Power Steering Plus

As others have mentioned, I find the assist on the PSP to be a bit much. The steering, while accurate, feels a little numb, or disconnected. I wonder if there is a way to reduce the assist level? Could it be programmed down?

Thoughts?

This is almost certainly a situation similar to the Sport button where Porsche is charging for what is really just software that changes the way inputs map to outputs. In other words I doubt there are any mechanical parts you'll need to change or remove, just have the programmed "feature" deactivated. Porsche ought to be able to do this. The better solution of course would be to find some talented hacker who can get in there and not only deactivate but tailor it to reduce the assist down to the "just a little extra" level you probably would prefer instead of the excessive assist that's giving you that numb feeling. Have you tried asking your dealer?

I do love the firm feel of my non-PSP car's steering at low speed. I purposely did not order it. I hope that the hardware is the same and that you can get it deactivated.

I just got my 2013 C4S cab and immediately noticed how light the steering was compared to my Panamera GTS and 997 GTS, and I didn't even order PSP. I would hate having PSP on this car, or maybe any car for that matter.
