Gary Sims passed away
#32
Gary was a gentleman and very generous with his knowledge. We had just started our friendship last month and had loose plans to get together for lunch soon. My first drive in my 991 will be dedicated to his memory. Rest well my friend.

Sad to hear...
Guys don't know if you are aware but Gary and his wife were long time NSX owners and he regularly posted on www.nsxprime.com His NSX was unfortunately written off by a service tech or mechanic and they opted for a 997.2 and I've come to understand a 991.
I've created a thread on Prime for the sake of those who also enjoyed his amazing writing style and opinions on the NSX. http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showth...63#post1678263
May he rest in peace.

I was fortunate to meet and drive with Gary on a couple of his trips to the Bay Area, the last time only a month or so ago. I am stunned and shocked to hear of his passing. I'm not a religous person, but I'd like to believe he is now with his beloved Cindy. This is a sad day......

Oh my goodness that is terrible news. I did not know him personally but found great enjoyment reading his lengthy posts. Wish I had met him in person. Such sad news. Wonder what the roads are like up there..

I am so sorry to hear of this sad news.
Gary was such a fountain of knowledge and gave so generously of his time. Clearly he loved his 991 and I will miss his wonderfully insightful posts and great sense of humour.
My thoughts go to his family and friends.
RIP
