Default 991 prices...any usual discounts out there?

I'm thinking of a new Porsche and was wondering what, if any, discounts most Rennlist buyers have been experiencing. The last new Porsche I bought was a 996 GT3 with euro delivery (which they charged an additional $2250 for at the time). I paid full MSRP because of the difficulty getting the car at that time.
After reading some of the threads on 991 pricing with desirable options, it's hard not to wait a year or two and get that $125K Carrera S for less than 100K.
So, getting back to the question: Has anyone gotten 3-5% off MSRP (or more) on their new 991 purchase?

Do a search and you will find lots of threads about discounts. Short answer, 3-5% should be easily doable in most parts of the country.

3-5% is normal.
6-8% from some dealers on new builds.
10-15% if the car is on their lot for a while
20% on some cars that have been on the lot for 6 months

whoa 20%? Are we talking 2012 demo's? Please elaborate! I have yet to see anyone get more than 7-8% on 2013 cars with less than 100 miles

If the car sits on the lot for awhile, Porsche will give the dealer a chunk back to help them sell it. I saw a brand new 2011 C4S cab on the lot when I went to buy mine last summer, dealer showed me that Porsche gave them 10 G's to sell it.

That black S sounds like a good deal! Too bad it isn't a cab or I would ask which dealer!! Go for the deal or regret it later...

I regret not getting the yellow base 991 that had a MSRP of $112k and they sold it for $91k. I was so close but decided I wanted an S and am still looking.

Most of the big 2012 discounted Porsches are gone. Late December had a lot.

I'm feeling the pressure to decide - they had 2 2012 991S's and just sold one...the 2012 Cabs are 997 platforms.

I would say that is a good deal! Just make sure it as the options you want that can't be added on later. Don't think too long though.

I'm looking at a used S now for close to 100k. They sure lose their value quickly. MSRP was $134k.
