+1 here. No problems.

Thank you for any input
I had an November build 2005 997. It was awesome. Would not change a thing. Have the 991S now. The crack comment is spot on. Hmmmm, crack.

You trip over your feet walking away while turning your head to keep staring at it.

The only real problem I have had is horrible satellite reception which was easily fixed with a new antenna. The wrinkle is that the antenna has to be painted, but was offered a Panamera for the week or so it took to do that and the couple other service bulletins that were outstanding.

Other minor things of note is that I have a slight rattle that seems to come from the B-pillar near where the seat belts mount. Also on track with the windows open at 100+ there is a lot of buffeting that is annoying. I am hopeful that the GT3 mirrors will be a fix, although I am also more used to it now than I was in the beginning.

However, I love the car and really enjoy it. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

"Gearbox emergency operation" error at 250 miles - resolved by PDK software reset. Motor replaced in near side wing mirror that would not adjust smoothly. Otherwise fine.

The car is a beast, so addictive to drive - love it!

Yes, the car seems to come with a certain amount of dorkiness in terms of "there he goes again staring at his car as he walks towards/away/around it" as well as "wow, you have a lot of pictures of your car in your phone's photo album".

Of course, the random thumbs-ups from people and comments of "nice car!" help to make up for that. Love mine, still getting through the 2000 mile break-in (halfway there, and nicer weather seems to finally be arriving!), but it's just such a joy to drive.

Oops - sorry, I misread the OPs question as "how awesome is the 991?". No, no problems so far (knock on wood as well). Dec '12 build.

Have the 991 CS for 3 months now - love it. One minor issue: annoying buffeting when driving around town (40-50 km/h) with the sunroof open.

After a nice fun drive in Maryland today, I would say perhaps the biggest inherent issue is watching the various forms of douche'baggery from Prius and Chrysler station wagon drivers. The 991 seems to be a magnet for those *** clowns. They have no sense of their own mortality. I need to install a camera (front & rear) in my 991 for evidence.
