The red caliper thread came first.

I have a base, I got the S calipers from Suncoast and painted the rear. After a few miles, you cant really notice the difference but the rear painted calipers are darker if you really look at them. Normal people won't noticed them.

I like them. Later on I will buy S rear calipers and rotors as they are a different size compared to non S base model.

Agree. They do look small.

My base 3.4

Honestly, I feel no brake difference in performance vs the smaller oem black calipers. Yes, I did take the car to Big Willow in Socal as well. Looks cool tho so I'm happy.

Do these look like Base or S calipers to you guys?

I assumed they’re stock base calipers(previous owner did it), painted, but they perhaps appear bigger than the pic in this thread of painted Base calipers? These are the fronts.

I see. I put on Carrera S 6-piston calipers on the front of my base Carrera. They come in red. I painted the rear calipers red to match the front. I am concerned about what you may think. Putting a Carrera S badge on a base Carrera (and an “M3” badge on what is obviously a base BMW 3-series) is poser-ish, but painting brake calipers is just a style or design aspect.

Yes. They do. I have the Carrera S calipers and use 19” BBS CH-R wheels for the track.

Default my former 991 base with painted calipers

I had the calipers painted on my last car. I thought it looked sharp. I was worried they would look small, but it was fine. However, a few months later i test drove an S and switched.
