I haven't seen the ducktail in person on a 991, but they look good in pictures. Purely personal, but I don't think I'd spend almost $6000 including labor to have one. I also think it's more appropriate on a Coupe than a Cab. Again, strictly subjective....

I ordered the sport design front spoiler but passed on the ducktail. Just couldn't convince myself to like it. I am thinking of eventually adding a spoiler of some sort, so it's not a matter of not liking rear spoilers in general. I would pass on it and at some point consider something aftermarket for much less money. Oh, the aftermarket one might still go up and down, so that would be a win-win situation!

You have several options:
1. Buy the tail now and **** her off for a little bit.
2. Don't buy it now and she is happy.
3. Buy it later/used for a lot less.

I would go for either 1 or 3. Sounds like you love the tail and your wife. Maybe 3 is a good option.

Hehe. Thanks guys - fun to read.

A) Bought my amazing wife a four-hour spa treatment today. Her last text reads exactly: "Kkk) thanks for this po . Just realized I needed it. Tight hugs from wifey"

B) Have a reason to order a custom Targa next time around.

C) win/win

You definitely made the right call! Now you have something in the bank when you start thinking about track wheels!

Nicoli, I think you are smart to back out. Your car looks damn sexy as is. Even though it is not something I would order, as a mod, I am curious, does it come painted or does it have to go to the body shop once it arrives from Germany? I would think, either way, there is a chance you won't get a perfect match.

insane price considering it just swaps out the stock and then doesn't move..

should be 1500 for spoiler.. i dont even like the front..

it's same materials as stock just diff shape.. please explain to me where the cost comes from.. and stock has motors and pivots...

you can save money by buying the kit at sunset in portland (talk to andraya) , both tax and base price and having it shipped to dealer in WA. my wife is really mad about it, even more though about the PSE i'm adding.

learn these words : i'm done after this mod!!! honest!!!!

I would pass.

1) I thought it was only $5,000 and included the Sport Design Front Fascia

2) I would like to simply say that $6,000 for just the Ducktail is just way too much. But really the whole car is priced to take advantage of the buyers emotions rather than appealing to those who want value.

3) Apparently your wife doesn't agree that you can afford it if she is objecting on financial grounds. That could be a problem.

Does this help the aerodynamics of the car?
