Wisdom I garnered was that Porsche pulled it off - they built a car with cabin-tech I can live with instead of trying to replace via aftermarket solutions and the road/tire noise for trips is tolerable. Bought the S5, traded it, took the hit. Still love the S4/S5 - but Porsche pulled off a feat I didn't think possible with the 991. It's what we are looking for.

991 is one of my DD. I bought it and sold my 997.1 turbo. It's a more comfortable car and is still very fun ti drive. I would not pay a big ton to get out of your Audi. It's a great car too, if I were you I would just enjoy it. There will be plenty of 991's around in 2.5 years.

I think you're my brother from another mother.

I appreciate the advice. If I can make the move without too much pain, I'll do it. If not, I'll stay with my S4 and not look back.

Not always true. BMWFS has a very simple and user friendly lease transfer process, costs a few hundred bucks and the qualifed assumee takes over for you for the remainder of your term. I transferred out of a very desireable BMW lease a few years ago and actually made money on the deal.

Porsche FS is not as friendly. Unsure what Audi's stance is.
