Which fuse did you use to install the V1?

Don't know from first hand experience but some folks have used the rear wiper fuse (assuming you did not spec the rear wiper) successfully. Let us know when you are done and if it worked for you. I might hardwire mine the same way

Was looking for a specific fuse number or location. Reading the manual now out of desperation. zzzz
Maybe I will just go have a drink and leave it for the afternoon.
By the way, unlike the 997, I did not have to remove one panel. Wow. Wires are all hidden now. Only needed a light touch from a screwdriver head to push the wires underneath the panels. Took 10 minutes. It's as if Porsche was briefed on what was needed.

Following limey's writeup, I used the rear wiper fuse slot to hardwire my V1. It's located in the driver side fuse panel, position D1 if I remember correctly. However, this solution is not entirely compatible with the 991's start/stop feature, ie, while the V1 remains powered when the car is stopped at a light with the engine off, the V1 will reboot as the engine is restarted. I guess that the momentary drop in voltage as the starter motor is engaged causes the V1 to reboot. Most of the time I have the start/stop feature turned off, but the V1 reboot is not that big a deal in any case.

Thanks!!! Will try it this morning.
I tried searching on 6speed and could not come up with that thread. Really appreciate it.
Still searching for a good place to ground the thing.

Freaked me out to take her apart, but found it Spyder. Thanks! Man oh man I struggled for like an hour to fit my fat *** under the wheel to get to that screw but I made it. Anyone with broad shoulders or a couple of muscles will struggle, too <holminator throws up in his mouth a little bit as a result of his semi-veiled self-congratulatory remarks and lame hints at physical prowess.>

Strange, I tested that and the escort did not shut down/reboot during the auto on/off cycle

Check the Valentine1 website in the parts department. They make a device called BOB - Brown Out Booster - specifically designed for auto start stop feature, costs $25 plus shipping etc.
