Do you have any idea how they passed the cables from the front bumper into the cockpit?

I've only seen the rear laser shifter mounted on top of the license plate - is this upside down, or are the ones on top upside down, or does it matter?

No, not sure...and I'd rather not know I think.

Does not matter (see attached). Doesn't the top install interfere with the license plate illumination?

Wouldn't the better performing V1 be cheaper and require no mods to your expensive car?

Physics. The beam gets wider over distance aka beam divergence. You get a piece of the beam that was intended for the car in front or behind you. I've experienced it.

Yes, the V1 works with lasers. There are also laser shifters that can be added to the V1, i.e., http://www.ebay.com/itm/Valentine-On...50842010784%26.

Any laser shifter, which is not a jammer like the Lidatek LE10, might give you may a few extra seconds to react, but ultimately the officer will get an accurate readout on your speed as you get closer. Slamming on the brakes at the last minute also tells the officer something and tactically that is what will happen given the few seconds available in a laser trap scenario.

These detectors are just tools. Tactics, such as adjusting speed, in areas favored for radar/laser traps works better than detectors. Police in various states have different tactics so it is important to adapt driving style to their tactics. Laser shifters may be a false sense of security vis-a-vis lack of calibration, proper installation, damage from someone bumping your vehicle while parallel parking, and so.

Fail if not mounted in the right place or if dropped on the concrete during ownership.

Yes, V1 detects radar and lidar, front and rear. I have had V1s in several cars over the years and have found the arrows and bogey counter indispensable in knowing when and how to adjust speed to minimize getting a ticket. And, a V1 has one box that is visible. Your system has five; two inside the car and three outside the car, all visible. And I can move the V1 to my other cars as needed with no wiring, holes or other hassles to deal with in my not-so-expensive 991C2S. But I agree, to each his own.

Signed,

i was always a bit worried given the size of the trruck (so a big target) and the fact i only had one rear facing diffuser.
Right now i have the 9500 x hard wired into my 911, will probably put the c in at some point just because i like the stealth approach with nothing really visible,

cheers
