Very cool. Did you have to wait for your registration doc etc from penndot before applying for the vanity plate? I am waiting for our title number so I can complete the form and send it to penndot

I was surprised that it was available.

You need the registration document and the title number. You may be able to get this information from one of those hard working state employees (don't try until before 10 am or after 4 pm make sure you allow 90 minutes for lunch).

This link may be used to ascertain availability:

...notwithstanding my moaning about Pennsylvania government, the plate number was promptly removed from 'available' - just a few days after I mailed the application and $20. The plate arrive in a couple of weeks.

Checked awhile back, mine still available. Still waiting for my registration document...dealer said they can take up to 2 months to show up. Looking forward to getting my permanent plates.

I'd check with Harrisburg....my plates took only a couple of weeks and I bought the car in Delaware not in Newtown Square. ...I just don't get really good vibes from that store.

Thanks for the heads up! Will check tomorrow. I was surprised that it has taken this long as the car was supposed to have been registered on 1 Nov.

Probably because 911 was taken a long time ago.

You should remove the model badge, so the back of your car looks like:

PORSCHE
oo 9II oo
