I've heard the full Fabspeed 991 system and it makes the car sound like a stock Ferrari - really good, refined sound

Default Techart installed...

I had the PSE and changed it to Techart on mine 991CS.
Valves "off" sound is like something between valves on/off on the PSE.

In ON position it sounds like a V10. Very aggressive !!!!!
On downshift is just sounds just ............ !
Its working exactly like the PSE with factory switch on console , but it has its own control module which is connected to the PASM unit. This control unit from Techart make the exhaust valves more "active" and it opens even in "silent" mode if you apply throttle.
Techart gives warranty on this system which also cover the engine if breakdown is related to exhaust.

Picked it up today after WC 43 and 25 (took 10 working days). Several on my way home for the sound.

WC43 and 25? Not sure I get that reference.

So their system is made to be hooked to PASM as standard?

The exhaust marketing is horrible, their information is not clear. Their pricing is perplexing, is it because they are all low volume units?

Agree 100% !!
Thinking of trying IPe but ended up with Techart since they gave me warranty on the engine and is German build according to EC noise regulation in "silent mode".

I have a 991 2s with PSE

Dealer had exhaust system vacuum switch disconnected so exhaust was in sports mode all the time and very poppy and nice. After about 1000 miles a water coolant warning light came on - took car in to dealer who said warning was due to sensor on exhaust and have reconnected vacuum switch so exhaust now switches on and off normally.

The problem is - I can hear absolutely no difference with exhaust switched on or off through complete rev range and does not burble or pop anymore.

Is this normal????

I had an old 997 c4s with sports exhaust and that was very easy to hear the sports exhaust coming on and off.

No. Your dealer has screwed up the system. Even at idle, the change from PSE off to enabled is marked and easily noticed. Was this a used car? Why would a dealer disconnect the vacuum switch?

I bet he did. The margins in that Tubi would outstrip any PSE profit. I wouldn't touch it even it it was for free.. Go the PSE or the Akra. Wouldn't touch any of the others. If and when EP does one that'd also be another worthy option.

After I pointed out the Tubi price the dealer agreed that the PSE system made sence. That is likely how I am going.

Wise move. At least whatever you spend on the PSE will be worth something to the next buyer. That Tubi will only remove value off the car and will have to be rid of when you sell it. An Akra would be a different story.

That's a little pricy don't you think? There are instructions on the web site that explain how to remove the rear bumper are very good.
