Gearbox emergency operation
5 days / 250 miles into ownership of new PDK C2S coupe and absolutely loving it but driving on fast country road this morning in sport mode and suddenly gearbox disengaged with yellow warning on MFD "Gearbox emergency operation" and "exiting sport mode". Slowed down and second gear selected, then first and could not shift. Managed 2 mile crawl home in first gear!
Called dealer who thinks its probably a computer glitch and just needs resetting. Car has been trailered back to centre for analysis and ? repair and I am waiting for a call. What a bummer!
Anyone else had this?

Sorry for off topic,
Seeing you are in SA. Can you tell me some shipping details of your car ? Mine has been completed sometime in October (that is all I can get out of the local Porsche shop) so I'm trying to figure out shipping ports and schedules myself.
Was your car shipped from Bremerhaven or Emden and what port in SA was it shipped to ? Name of the vessel ?

Rainier, my build date was 22 June, took delivery on 15 August. Ship was Pleiades Spirit and all Porsche deliveries dock in East London. Ship docked on 3 August.

Just received an update: no definitive diagnosis yet but working theory is that it is a faulty sensor within the gearbox and/or the software associated with it. Because it is such a rare fault they are in contact with Porsche Germany regarding the next steps.
They are providing me with a courtesy car in case this takes a bit longer then expected. I will post again when I know more.

This sounds very familiar...should take about 10 days to sort out.Your car will get a new box....insist on extended warranty after this, like extra 2 years and a 500 euro voucher for porsche shop!
