+2, I agreed with this situation, or I can't see pass my big *** GT3 wing! :-)

Meh. I've been parking my cars for over 30 years by using my eyes and mirrors. Had the parking sensors not already been on the lot car I bought, I would not have ordered them or a rearview camera. Same for "comfort access," I just don't get the need for it. YMMV

you are right, but from what I saw, it is in the FF, which is a 2+2 GT with accessories like rear child seats, rear entertainment and a hatchback design. can't be offerered in a 599.

You will be able to add a backup camera to a 991....in the not too distant future.

Actually it is even available on the 458 now. 599 is out of production but I am sure it will be offered on F12.

So, having said all of that, anyone know an aftermarket camera that works?!

Somewhat ironically, a backup camera is on my "deal breaker" list for ordering a C4S to replace the C2S.

I've asked a couple of the data acquisition companies to include a back-up camera angle and heads-up display for track driving.

Definitely cheaper than touching something with the rump of the car.

Given zero rearward visibility in the likes of a Pagani, I imagine most of the high end sports cars have a backup camera ... hell some of 'em even have ABS nowadays ... how emasculating!

Keep us informed when this will be available. It's either that or the BMW "tag frame" solution that provides an audible notification as you back up. I'd rather not take the bumper off twice.

If you've got a "plug and play" solution to feed a backup camera into the PCM ...

: )
Just make sure it's high res with night vision and excellent contrast and dynamic range ... 700TVL or at least the pixel count of the PCM display ... maybe it could even be switched into the instrument dash binnacle as a continuous image, too?

Agreed and with the CAB there is a HUGE blind spot when the top is up! Sensors are helpful but they don't show you the idiot racing through the parking lot!

When my '04 996 TT Cab Nav/PCM system packed it in I installed a Dennison Nav/Bluetooth with back up camera mounted on the license plate. It works great! Too bad all I get is a "beeper" in the 991S Cab that's on the way

I like the Mito rear view mirrors with built-in backup camera display. I'm sure it could easily be fitted to a 991.http://www.mitocorp.com/auto-dimming...a-display.html
