Default No break in there

I am really enjoying the Volt so far. Just installed a 24V charger. Have not done a full charge with it yet so I can't comment on it yet.

Hi!

Great car ..... is it Basalt black or solid/plain?

And please give some thoughts about the Sport PASM suspension ... is the ride still comfortable?

I had a 997.1 with normal PASM and this felt absolutely right in standard setting ... but in sport mode it was way too stiff .... I never used it .... I still hope that 991 SPASM has the same comfort as PASM in 997.1 ... can you confirm that?

Best
Gregor

I don't have experience with prior Porsche's so I can't do a comparison.
The car rides very well with the sport suspension turned off. And it rides pretty rough with it turned on. Unless you are going after it I don't see having the sport suspension turned on.

If you have Sport PASM, you have shorter stiffer springs and stiffer sway bars than the regular PASM or non-PASM suspension (and on the S you have the dynamic engine mounts). As I understand it, you get stiffer rebound on the sport setting than the regular setting from the shocks by pressing the "Sport" button- and that may happen when the sensors reach certain cornering acceleration thresholds anyway - not certain about this). So in a sense, you cannot "turn off" the sport PASM. the physical difference is always there and the feel is quite different from the non sport suspension- but still I find, supple and reasonable.

Even at the stiffest settings I find my 991 far more usable (as in I retain my fillings and don't get blurry vision :-) compared to my 2008 Boxter S RS-60 sport setting.

Not related to sport PASM,

I think the Chronos package is a must have option with the PDK. The sport plus setting makes the transmission shift in a whole different way. It is fast and hard. Launch control is also quite a bit of fun.

How tall is that garage? I'd love to do this but I suspect you need a pretty tall building. Was it custom built?

Congrats on the combo. I like the idea (and why I have a diesel).

Is the P-car yin? Yin is female and Yang is male

The garage is tall because we had the tall basement walls when we built the house. It is on a lake so you can only dig down so far. The tall garage was an effect of the house sticking out of the ground a few feet.

The height is in the 13 foot range. The ladder behind the car is a 12 foot ladder.

Here is a photo with the Porsche brand cover on the car. The cover seems perfect for what I wanted.

I leased the Volt, there was a very aggressive rate. The math would become suspect if you bought it.
