Default 2012 vs 2013 991 Any meaningful changes, option from '13 Carrera to '12 Carrera S

Has there been any meaningful changes to 2013 991 vs. 2012? I am looking at option to change path from a '13 Carrera Cab. to a '12 Carrera Cab. S Both White, both manuals

No changes that come to mind, but more off a few additions like Carrera S Powerkit, glass sunroof, aerokit and Carrara White being changed to "White" which is a bit brighter.

Mine is Carrara White and prefer that over the 2013 white.

I believe other than the Auto Rev-Matching feature and the Adaptive cruise control available the 2013, that is pretty much it.

Apart from a few additional cosmetic options such as a glass roof, (which doesn't apply to you) that's about it as far as I know..

rev matching on manual cars.

in the UK, navigation now has full postcode (zipcode), built in 'juke box'; and you can order 'on line services' (something to do with smartphones)

plus black/luxor beige interior now available

Wow, this is the first I've heard of it. Way to ruin one of the last manual transmissions, Porsche...

I agree with you. Fortunately, those who don't want anything to do with auto rev-matching won't get it unless they purchase the optional Sport Chrono package. For those who select the package, auto rev-matching will remain on in Sport Plus mode. In Normal and Sport mode, the system isn't enabled.

Tragic...

- The normal steering wheel is a little bit flatter at the six o clock position (the Sport Design remains unchanged)

- additional print on the "AUTO" air con key: "MONO" (to indicate that you'll activate "mono" if you press it longer)

Is the new white Grand prix white like in the 70's?

My May 14 2012 build has "MONO" on a very late production 2012 model year.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it gets better soon. Sorry-couldn't resist.

As the owner of an early build 2012 who has not had any actual problems- but has been inconvenienced by several "campaigns" to fix stuff- I recommend getting a 2013. Porsche makes a lot of running production changes and I full expect the newer cars are better built.

one big change is the 2012 when you decode the VIN come up as 997.2 for the early ones... made it harder to sell because every site and dealer will type in VIN and comes up as 997.2 Black Edition.

other than that, the new white is "white" old is "carrara White"

The new white is just called White. I think it's a little brighter white than Grand Prix White was. I saw a few examples on the production line in late September.

The new model is very beautiful with no. of changes, Keeping with custom, one's body system components of the 911 will be made out of as well as outfits and Kevlar. Moreover, the use of exclusively engineered metals and various compounds have decreased the weight by almost 100 lbs,the Carrera will be an interesting new experience in the activities car market.
