White on red is a very nice combo, especially in a Cab. Nice options also.

A few suggestions.....

Get the steering column in leather,...otherwise it is black and sticks out quite a bit.

As suggested, go with silver instead of red belts. Guards Red belts are a different shade compared to the red leather interior.

Might want to get dials in white instead of red, or all black instead.

Carbon fiber trim looks great on a red interior car.

Maybe think about deviating the carpet to black. Gives the interior a bit of a two-tone look.

No matter what, good luck with the order!

Well done, John. Look forward to seeing it and what difference the Powerkit makes.

I appreciate the comments on various items but we've decided to stay where we are except we've added the coloured wheel crests and the mirrors will be all white.

Had the discussion with the wife about the red belts and guages and she wants to stay there and I'm ok with that. Yes, the interior is certainly going to be red. If belts get too dirty to clean I can get new belts from an aftermarket place (I did that for my '82 Targa).

Just got confirmation of December build!

Are you staying up most nights in anticipation? Congrats on a beautifully specked car. Look forward to the pics.

Yes, while this is my 13th Porsche of which 7 were special order 911's I think this is the most anticipated. Two other special orders were a 924 Turbo S and a 944 (951) Turbo way back when. I've been driving Porsche's since 1972 continuously. Always had at least one and often 3 at the same time. Now going to have two as the 996 TT Cab is staying and the new one will also be a keeper.

Yes, it will have a lot of red inside but some of that is the price I'm paying for having my wife onside with this purchase. The last 3 times I ran the idea up the pole of having a 911 as a driver she chopped the pole down and I wound up getting a BMW 650 (3 in 40 months, all new). The 991 as spec'd out gives her what she wants and of course I get all the performance stuff. She actually came up with the idea when we were on the Autobahn in Southern Germany two weeks ago. The sport exhaust got her going!

Last week my wife and I were in Southern Germany participating in the PCA/Fast Lane Travel Porsche Treffen.
As part of the trip we were given a rental (from Avis) 991S coupe to drive. After about an hour my wife suggested that perhaps I should get a 991S as a daily driver instead of my 2012 BMW 650 Cab. I certainly didn't need any convincing.

Then, after our rest stop where she said this we proceeded rather quickly down the Autobahn towards Fussen. Well at one point we reached 295kph (183.3 MPH)! She was happy up to about 280 but a little antsy after that.
Bottom line is, we arrived home at 10 pm Sunday and by noon Monday I have had a 991S Cab on order. Summary of specifications below:

White Cab with Red leather interior and red top.
18 Way Adaptive sport seats with heating and cooling
X51 Powerkit
XAT Sport Design Package (ducktail and front apron/spoiler)
Park Assist
Red faces on main and Sport Chrono dial faces
Red seatbelts
Electric Folding and self dimming mirrors
5mm wheel spacers
Dynamic Chassis control
PDK
Power steering plus
Sport Design steering wheel (paddle shifters, not buttons)
Clear glass tail lights
Bi-Xenon headlights
SiriusXM radio

In Canada the above options are just over $53k! Buying new, to order in the USA is not an option.

Car is supposedly a January build which means I'll get in March. And, no, the modified 996 Turbo Cab is not going away. Just the 650.

Excellent .. white dials in interior will contrast beautifully with the red interior.

are leather sun visors available yet? Otherwise, you have nasty black plastic ones spoiling the look.

Didn't see leather sun visors on any list. I'm not concerned with the black vinyl though as it's another black contrast (as going back to black seat belts was). Also, I'd be a little concerned about expensive leather in the high windstream area when the top is down. When I get the car I'll look into what can be done in Vancouver as I'm sure I can get the visors re covered at a reasonable cost by a good upholstery shop.

Just got the email. The car was finished on Friday! 110 days from order to build complete. Now have to wait for ship to Halifax then truck to Vancouver. this can take up to 6 weeks but at least I can the see the light at the end of the tunnel.
